Tell us about Yourself ! (What do you do?)
After years as a corporate soldier I ditched the 8-5 to start living "Bigger.” I realized that the footprint that I was meant to leave on this Earth was bigger than I was setting myself up for. I have always had a passion for helping others and knew I needed to fuel this passion to be happy. I decided to use my organizational and planning skills to help others build their businesses, build relationships and build "Bigger" lives for themselves. For me it is about taking what you know and giving it back in a way to help others achieve.
I am a small business owner that does Project Management, Online Marketing, and Podcast Production for entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small businesses. I am also the co-founder of She Did It Her Way, a podcast to engage, inspire, and motivate through interviews with female entrepreneurs.
What inspired you to get started?
A mentor and friend of mine has always said to "Build A Bigger Life Not A Bigger Lifestyle.” Since hearing this over two years ago my life has not quite been the same. This mindset shift taught me that "things" do not matter but rather the experience and the life that you live everyday does! I decided right then to take control of her own life and start living
Who/What helped prepare you to start?
Online tools and resources keep me organized and efficient. These tools include: Asana, 17hats, Evernote, Google Docs, Calendly, Mailchimp, Lynda.com, and Photoshop.
Two of my closest business partners and now good friends have been great inspiration for me. I believe in investing in yourself, reading books, attending conferences, and reaching out to my mentor’s for advice.
Who/what has been most influential in supporting you?
“You are the average of the five people you surround yourself with.” I heard this quote by Jim Rohn at a conference and ever since I strive to live by that code. In doing so I have been able to propel my business and life forward. The five most influential people in my life include; My husband, business partner and longtime friend, carefully selected mentor(s), and my Mom.
How can others get involved if they're interested?
If you had one word of advice for other women wanting to make an impact what would it be?
Don't get in your own way! Make a plan, take the first step and execute. You are 100% responsible for the decisions you make and the life you choose to live.
